This beautiful authentic vintage hand-crocheted throw is made from a colourful array of wool yarn (not acrylic yarn as with most later examples) making it deliciously heavy and warm! The wonderfully rich vintage hues of the wool, including red, yellow, blue lilac and green, further distinguish it from the later brighter versions. This particular throw is an early one, most likely from the 1930s, consisting of over 450 crocheted elements and is a true signature piece in re-creating any classic vintage interior.
This versatile and beautiful throw is large enough to be used on a sofa or as a bed cover, providing warmth and colour to your home.
The throw is approximately 70" by 82".It is in excellent condition for its age with a few centres within the small squares having come undone and evidence of re-sewing between many of the squares. One square is missing at a corner.
