A beautiful handstitched quilt dating to around 1900 and heralding from the North of England. The quilt has a yellow-gold reverse which shows the superb handstitching in all its finery, with tulips, hearts, circles and flowers. The face of the quilt is a magnificent rich raspberry cotton covered with stunning chrysanthemums. The condition of this quilt is wonderful and the rich raspberry patterned material is as pretty as the day it was made.
The quilt measures approximately 82" by 96". The condition is excellent - some minor markings to the plain side. No wear.
This antique quilt will dress your bed to perfection and make a fine addition for the collector of heirloom pieces.
