Stunning Pink Roses Oil Painting After Klein (pg488)
This is such a pretty painting. It is an oil on canvas and depicts a spray of beautiful roses in a delightfully delicate shade of pink. This was painted during the late Edwardian era and is a copy of the work by Catherine Klein, the famous and much-loved floral and fauna artist. This painting, although unsigned, is extremely well painted with wonderful detail to the roses; the way the artist has captured the light on the edge of the petals is excellent. The painting is attached to its wooden stretcher and is unframed. The last photo shows an example of a similar painting of Catherine's work, reproduced on a vintage postcard.
This stunningly pretty painting will look perfect within a feminine, floral setting.
The painting is approximately 18" by 12". There is a tear to the canvas (seen more clearly in the fifth photo - it runs vertically over a rosebud. This could be repaired if desired, although it is not too noticeable and the painting still displays wonderfully.
