Wonderful Edwardian Roses Welsh Quilt (astb192)
A wonderful handsewn Welsh quilt with a beautiful design of pink roses set within a pattern of stripes and swags; truly gorgeous! The quilt has a soft, dusky pink border which also covers the reverse. The quilt is completely handsewn and the amazing designs of flowers and swirls, with a central star, can be seen in detailed glory on the plain side. The quilt was made in a small village in Wales in the early Edwardian period, around 1905.
The quilt measures approximately 77" wide by 84" long. There are a few minor storage marks on the reverse and edges, a couple of minor blemishes mainly on the reverse and to the front at the foot of the quilt on the plain border, is a very small surface hole.
